I.                     Introduction

On the Moon Festival Eve in 2007, Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) in Taiwan suggested that Taiwanese people had better not have barbecue. According to EPA, the air quantity of the next day of the Moon Festival in 2006 was worse in the sake of barbecue. It was barbecue that made carbon monoxide emit into the air and spread everywhere. EPA emphasized that thickness into the air of carbon monoxide increased 30%, compared to the previous day. In addition to producing carbon monoxide, charcoal usually burn incompletely while barbecuing. When charcoal meets oxygen and it will convert into carbon dioxide and cause Global Warming. The experts said that for 3-hours, the poisonous material would be inhaled and such an effect was similar to 300,000 cigarettes. The joyful festival became an environment disaster at the moment. Barbecue is like “chronic suicide”

    We need intelligence to deal with the problems which the Moon Festival brings. Actually, barbecue is not traditional way to celebrate on the Moon Festival. It is just the businessman sensationalize in order to earn more money. We want to collect information to tell people besides barbecue there are still a lot of different ways to celebrate the Moon Festival.
